Hi, I’m Paige Matney, a sophomore in high school and a member at Trinity, and I am the current Worthy Advisor for the International Order of Rainbow for Girls, Lynn Broyhill Assembly #12 in South Sioux City.
My Assembly and I will be participating in the NexTrex Recycling Program as my service project for 2024. When we have donated 1,000 lbs. of plastic, Trex will give my Rainbow Assembly a bench, made of Trex decking material, to donate to the community. The Assembly would like to donate this bench to Freedom Park in South Sioux City.
I am asking for your help in donating plastic. A donation box will be set up outside the church office at Trinity starting in January 2024. All plastic must be clean, dry and free of food residue.
The following is a list of the plastics that are acceptable:
- Grocery bags, Bread bags, Produce bags
- Bubble wrap
- Dry cleaning bags
- Newspaper sleeves
- Ice bags
- Plastic shipping envelopes
- Ziploc or other resealable food storage bags
- Cereal bags
- Case overwrap
- Salt bags
- Pallet wrap and stretch film
- Wood pallet bags
Thank you for helping to make this service project a success!
