OCTOBER 8, 15 & 22
What does it mean to be a member of a congregation? There seems to be many answers to this question, and sometimes we make assumptions about what it means to be part of the church. On October 8, 15, and 22, we are going to have a forum between services to talk about membership in the church so that we can have a better mutual understanding of what it means to be a part of this congregation.

A forum is an open discussion, and this discussion will focus on three main questions:

  • What does it mean to be Christian?
  • What does it mean to be a Lutheran Christian?
  • What does it mean to be a Lutheran Christian member of Trinity Lutheran Congregation?

Pastor Scott will teach what the Bible, the Lutheran Confessions, and our own constitution say about membership and what he believes about membership. There will also be opportunity for asking questions and conversation.

Everyone is encouraged to participate, from people who are lifelong members to people who are just curious about the church.

This will also serve as an orientation class for anyone who is called to join Trinity Lutheran Congregation. If you would like to become a member but you cannot come to the three sessions, contact Pastor Scott and we will arrange for an-other means of orientation.
