Introduction to the Day and Announcements

Blessing of the Graduates
L: Today we rejoice and we thank God for the achievements of those who are graduating from high school and college this spring. Graduation is a milestone and a transition. We mark this transition with prayer and by asking God to bless these young people as they begin the next stage of life.
Our high school graduates are: Kobe Clayborne, Melia Nemitz, and Jesse Rains
Our college graduates are: Deion Clayborne, Taylor Heinke, Ryleigh Schnell and Madison Wilde
Let us pray.
L: Gracious God, you bless your servants with many achievements. We give thanks especially today for the milestones that these graduates have attained. As they begin new phases of their lives, may they know your love in all the ex-periences they have.
Bless the parents of these students, who have raised their children and nourished them in Christian faith. Give them strength in your holy presence, and give them many joyful reunions with their sons and daughters, those who are leaving home to go far away, and those staying close by. In Jesus’ name we pray.
A: Amen.
A Benediction and Sending for the Graduates:
L: Go out into the world in peace; be of good courage; hold to what is good; return no one evil for evil;
strengthen the faint-hearted; support the weak; help the suffering; honor all people;
love and serve our God, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
A: Amen.

Praise Song – You Never Let Go

Prayers

L: Uplifted by the promised hope of healing and resurrection, we join the people of God in all times and places in praying for the church, the world, and all who are in need.
L: Lord, unite us as one to be your holy people. We are separated in the flesh, but keep us united in the Spirit, until that day when we can be together again in the body. Lord in your mercy…
A: hear our prayer.
L: We pray for your world. It groans under the sickness and death of COVID-19. Heal this sickness God, and sustain this world, Lord in your mercy…
A: hear our prayer.
L: We pray for the authorities of this world. We pray for the president and congress, for our governors and state legislatures and for our mayors and city councils. Unite them to work together instead of fighting for power. Unite them to make policies and proclamations that are for the good of society. Lord in your mercy…
A: hear our prayer.
L: Accompany those who are sick, sorrowful, or confused. Comfort them in suffering, ease their distress, and carry their burdens. We beg you to protect us from the coronavirus, and we pray for those we name in our hearts be-fore you. especially Skip Meisner, Barb Curry, Doug Walker, Jim Mandicino, and Jim Sorvaag’s sister, Karen, as they face the ordeals of cancer. We also pray for Ken Cain, Merle Hanslip, Marc Anfinson, and Janet Burrack, as they continue to face health issues; Roy Strehlow, in the hospital with COVID19; and Katie Linder. Lord, in your mercy,
A: hear our prayer.
L: Father in heaven, give us comfort and strength to face the days ahead with courage and faith. We cast all our anxiety on you trusting that you will raise us up. Lord in your mercy,
A: hear our prayer.
Here other intercessions may be offered.
L: With bold confidence in your love, almighty God, we place all for whom we pray into your eternal care; through Christ our Lord.
A: Amen.

Lord’s Prayer

Blessing

L: The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you, the Lord look upon you with favor, + and give you peace.
Amen.
