Organ Prelude

Song: Alleluia! Jesus is Risen!
1. Alleluia! Jesus is risen! Trumpets resounding in glorious light!
Splendor, the Lamb, heaven forever! Oh, what a miracle God has in sight! Refrain
2. Walking the way, Christ in the center telling the story to open our eyes;
Breaking our bread, giving us glory: Jesus our blessing, our constant surprise. Refrain
3. Jesus the vine, we are the branches; life in the Spirit the fruit of the tree;
Heaven to earth, Christ to the people, gift of the future now flowing to me. Refrain
4. Weeping, be gone; sorrow, be silent; death put asunder, and Easter is bright.
Cherubim sing; O grave, be open! Clothe us in wonder, adorn us in light. Refrain
5. City of God, Easter forever, golden Jerusalem, Jesus the Lamb,
River of life, saints and archangels, sing with creation to God the I AM! Refrain
Refrain: Jesus is risen and we shall arise. Give God the glory! Alleluia!

Message

Hymn: Good Christian Friends, Rejoice and Sing
1. Good Christian friends, rejoice and sing! Now is the triumph of our king!
To all the world glad news we bring: Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
2. The Lord of life is ris’n this day; death’s mighty stone is rolled away;
Let all the earth rejoice and say: Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
3. Praise we in songs of victory that love, that life which cannot die,
And sing with hearts uplifted high: Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
4. Your name we bless, O risen Lord, and sing to day with one accord,
The life laid down, the life restored: Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!

Prayers:
L: Uplifted by the promised hope of healing and resurrection, we join the people of God in all times and places in praying for the church, the world, and all who are in need.
L: Lord, preserve your church, especially during this time when we cannot gather as a congregation. Give us strength to remain devoted and faithful even when our routines are disrupted. Guide your church to serve others who are suffering and in need during this time of crises. May we be a witness to your sacrificial service. Lord, in your mercy,
A: hear our prayer.
L: Lord, we pray for your world, especially as it faces the COVID-19 pandemic. We pray for healing and comfort for everyone who is sick. We pray for those who provide medical treatment. We pray for the officials who make decisions about how to keep us safe. Lord, in your mercy,
A: hear our prayer.
L: Open the hearts we close, O God, to the cries of those in pain. We pray for those isolated physically or emotionally through incarceration, addiction, mental illness, chronic suffering, grief, and all in need: Skip Meisner, Barb Curry, Doug Walker, Jim Mandicino, and Jim Sorvaag’s sister, Karen, as they face the ordeals of cancer. We also pray for Ken Cain, Merle Hanslip, Marc Anfinson, and Janet Burrack, as they continue to face health issues; Pastor Dave Carlson and Ron Heaton, recovering from surgery; and Katie Linder. Lord, in your mercy,
A: hear our prayer.
Here other intercessions may be offered.
L: With bold confidence in your love, almighty God, we place all for whom we pray into your eternal care; through Christ our Lord.
A: Amen.

Lord’s Prayer

Blessing:
